Hi, I’m Jason, a dedicated sea angler and professional 3D artist from Ipswich. I’ve spent nearly 20 years creating visuals for video games and films, but I’ve been chasing fish since I was a kid, almost 30 years now!

It wasn't until 2021 that I made the decision to try match fishing and I've been mad about it ever since, competing in matches most weekends in Ipswich Sea Anglers Club, Colchester Sea Anglers Club and the East Anglian Teams of 5 Sea League, as well pleasure fishing in between.

Match fishing played a major role in developing both my passion and skill for sea angling. The opportunity to learn from seasoned anglers accelerated my progress and made me realise there was room for better, more innovative products in sea fishing — a realisation that led to the creation of NiteTide.

NiteTide began in July 2025 when I wanted to try a Tripod Torch, but soon realised there wasn't anything worth buying so I set to work designing my own. When other anglers began asking where I got it from I realised that there was a business here.. Soon I had other ideas and the Shelter Glow and Tripod Selfie Mount soon followed, it was these products that formed the basis for the website.

Sales started off slow, but week by week they began to grow. That boost pushed me to buy a 3D printer so I could make the gear I’d always wanted but couldn’t find. It was the moment my 3D design skills and fishing hobby came together — and things really took off. Before I knew it, it had turned into a second full-time job!

Fast forward to today and there is now 16 unique NiteTide products on offer and more in the pipeline! Thankyou to all the loyal NiteTide customers that have supported the business so far, I love creating this stuff and seeing other anglers enjoying them is very rewarding.

The goal of NiteTide is simple and remains the same - Design quality original products, that help sea anglers.
